KeePass Desktop App Reviews

6 Customer Reviews:

I’ve been using KeePassX until now, but this is a much better looking and performing client. I was excited to see support for KeePass HTTP in the preferences, but it is disabled. Once this feature is implemented, it will enable you to pass data between KeePass Desktop and your browser, via a plugin. This makes it much easier to fill Web forms. So I’m looking forward to a future version where this is actually implemented.

Best Mac Client so far!

Works great with version 2 datafiles! I’ve been waiting for one to come along!

I use KeePass at work and started using it at home where I quickly became addicted and now use it for everything. But anytime I needed a password I had to RDP to my Windows machine to use KeePass. The couple mac or web versions I had tried had failed miserably. I’d finally started considering buying something different and converting all my passwords over and hated the idea. But then KeePass Desktop came out! And it’s great. It’s really too good to be free, the devs deserve something from this.

This is a very functional app and it seems to be the best keepass app out there. However, not having support for web forms is killing me. Ok, not really killing me, but painful. Id be ok if I could get to everything via keyboard, but that does not seem to be the case. I can bring up the app with searchlight, then get to the search bar, but then you cant get into the actual entry. The "Focus Entries" shortcut only focuses the box and you have to arrow down to the right entry. Tabbing through fields doesnt seem to work either. I would kick down a little dough for http support (and hopefully get rid of the ads?) if it was available.

I recently moved from Microsoft Windows to MAC and needed an application to access / manage my kdbx files. Fortunately enought I found this on the App Store. The application works and has all that you need to access and manage your kdbx files at a basic level. The only Feature I have missed (as compared to windows application) is the History Feature where we can go back and look at a history of each entry and also restore them to a previous point if need be.

Keepass Desktop for the mac

I use keepass on windows. I use keepass on the mac. It does what I want it to do. Saves passwords and generates new ones. Easy to use.
